Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Crossthread, a business registered in Alberta, Canada, which operates Pasture Path ("we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The service
Pasture Path is a web application for managing a farm — mapping, grazing, records, harvests, inventory and tasks — with a marketplace where farms can list products and shoppers can order them for pickup at the farm.
It is in early access. It is free to use for now. Features will change, some may be removed, and it will have faults. We will tell account holders by email before any charge is introduced; a free account will never become a paid one without your say-so.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done under it. One account, one farm.
Your records
What you enter about your farm is yours. You give us permission to store it, back it up and show it to you — and, for the parts you choose to publish on your farm page, to show those to the public. You can download your records at any time. We may remove public content that is unlawful or abusive.
Selling and buying
- An order is an arrangement between a shopper and a farm. We are not a party to it, we do not handle payment, and we take no commission. The shopper pays the farm at pickup.
- There is no delivery or shipping through Pasture Path.
- A farm may accept or decline any order. A shopper may cancel an order the farm has not yet accepted.
- Farms are responsible for what they list: that descriptions and prices are accurate, and that selling the product in that way is lawful where they are, including food-safety, labelling and licensing rules.
- We do not inspect farms or products and do not guarantee their quality, safety or legality. We will try to help if something goes wrong, but disputes are between the shopper and the farm.
Records, labels and calculators are tools, not advice
Pasture Path helps you keep records and do arithmetic. It does not certify anything and is not agronomic, legal or regulatory advice. Whether your records, lot labels or grazing plan meet the requirements of a certifier, auditor, insurer, funding program or regulator is for you to confirm with them. Acreages are measurements from imagery, not surveys. The free calculators give estimates from the numbers you enter.
Fair use
Do not use the service unlawfully, try to get into other people's accounts or data, interfere with it, load it with automated requests, or publish anything abusive, misleading or unlawful on a farm page.
Ending things
You can stop using Pasture Path at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk. Download your records first; once an account is deleted they are gone.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep the service running and your records safe, but it is provided as it is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost data, lost business — arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Keep your own copy of records you cannot afford to lose; the download is there for that.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for changes that matter we will tell account holders by email beforehand. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept it.
